Office of Assessment Expands

In early September, the Office of Assessment welcomed Deenene Brewer as the inaugural Assessment Coordinator. In this role, Brewer will focus primarily on measuring the impact of Active Learning initiatives (UGA’s Quality Enhancement Plan) through a comprehensive, ambitious, multi-year assessment plan.

Dr. Katie Burr was promoted to Director of Assessment effective September 9, 2022. In addition to supporting assessment for the Active Learning initiatives, Burr continues to bolster the academic program assessment and general education assessment practice at UGA.

Her leadership will be instrumental in the adoption of institutional competencies, integration of assessment best practices with the ACES project, and strengthening assessment of cocurricular experiences and units that support student success.
